muscular thoughts
bully pencil-neck poems
and shy wimpy words
that eventually lash-out
in my head

splattering these big ideas
like paintballs and
pocketwatches against
the back of my skull—

outside my window
it is raining
piano
keys

the quiet
tinkling
sounds

momentarily
drowning
out

the car crashes
in
my skull . . .
